This is probably one of the best gifs ever.
Jared is overwhelmed with everything around him. You would think after all these years he would be used to look at big crowds. A lot of bands lose their grip and just get used to it, they don’t see it as something special anymore. But Mars and Jared, still feels gifted with every person that shows up. I can imagine that there are days when Jared gets up in the morning and is afraid that no one would show up at the show that day. It often seems like after the show Mars would like to go out and thank every single person that showed up. They would like to talk to them, want to know them, know why they choose to pay money to see them. Especially Jared wants to know what’s going on inside those people’s minds. I once said that I feel like Jared is more interested in seeing us then we are in seeing him and I’m still believing this.
This gif for me shows it all, he is still that little Louisiana boy inside, he is overwhelmed with the fact that people came to see HIM, to hear HIM sing. It seems like he can’t believe he actually turned his dreams into reality and he is just trying to suck in every little moment. He wants to remember it clearly, wants to burn the image, the faces in his memory.
I’m always overwhelmed by just how much he still loves what he does. How dedicated he is to what he does and to all the things happening around him. People still like to call him an arrogant douche but seriously look at gifs like that. He’s so pure when he’s on stage. This shows perfectly how he experiences a show, that he feels something as well when he’s up there. He’s not just playing a few songs and gets off as soon as possible.
These are moments where he proves again that he is in fact a true artist with his heart and soul.He is a gift to me.
Gonna make a long post longer, but…
I have to reblog this because the comments are so accurate. And I feel like taking a moment to contemplate (once again) how awesome he is and how he’s impacted my life.
I am so thankful that I found this band, that I happen to love their music. I am proud to be a part of this reality that came from their dream and that I can share my appreciation of it with you guys.
This aspect of Jared — I treasure this more than words can ever describe. This is his strength and his humility all at once. And it usually happens during Kings and Queens, at the end of the show when everyone is singing together. He’s a little bit exhausted, which is incredibly hot to begin with. His defenses are completely gone and his awe is written all over his face. Which is hot beyond belief.
“He’s so pure when he’s on stage” Truer words were never spoken. When I see these on-stage moments and the emotion on his face, I realize how important this is for him. And my admiration increases all over again. My devotion is justified. My commitment is reinforced.
He is a gift to me. So true. What they brought into my life, what he has given me just by the example he sets in the way he lives his life, is very real and I don’t know where I’d be today without it. I wouldn’t have the fascination for life that I have. I would be without the hope and optimism I need to get me through the dark times. I wouldn’t know where to find the strength to stand up for what I believe, to dream and make it better. And I owe it all to these guys.
